United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women historically have played an important part in growing and maintaining churches and in their outreach to less fortunate people worldwide

UMW at First United Methodist Church of Webster Groves has a three-pronged purpose:

  • To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.
  • To develop a creative, supportive fellowship.
  • To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

We have several subgroups:

  • a Craft Circle, which meets at 9:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month in Fellowship Hall.
  • A night circle, which meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday in members homes.
  • Unit meetings, which are quarterly programs of all members and guests. The next meetings are:
    • Tuesday, Sept. 14 at noon in Fellowship Hall.
    • Tuesday, Dec. 14 at noon in Fellowship Hall.

UMW members and officers also participate in District, State and National UMW meetings.

The current president in Linda Guth Stangl. More information is available by calling the church office.
