Serve

Acolytes

Older children serve as acolytes during the 11 a.m. worship service, lighting the altar candles.

Service Projects

Children are encouraged to help others through various service projects –selling s’mores to help fund camp experiences, collecting canned goods for food pantries or helping serve a meal to the homeless at the Bridge, an interfaith ministry housed at Centenary United Methodist Church.

Youth Service Trip Planned

The Mississippi Youth Mission Trip is scheduled for June, 2012, to
Hancock County to continue to help people rebuild their homes and
lives from the Katrina Hurricane.

In the first two Sundays in March, the youth will be selling
Mississippi Youth Stock to allow the congregation, relatives, and
friends to help support our trip. When you purchase stock you will be
the benefactor of helping a youth go on this journey as Jesus’ hands
and feet in action to serve. Also, you will be invited to a dinner
later in the summer to hear about our mission trip and experience.
