March the 4th, Communion Sunday, is the start of our month long food drive for Kingdom House. You are asked to bring your green bags filled with canned goods to Church and put them on the altar when you go forward for Communion.
The food will be dedicated by Pastor Sharon.
!!!! PLEASE NOTE !!!! For the 15th consecutive year, Alan Shawn Feinstein of the Feinstein Foundation will divide $1 million dollars among hunger-fighting agencies nationwide to help them raise funds to stop hunger. Donations from us may include cash, checks, pledges and food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound) received by Kingdom House between March 1st and April 30th, 2012.
This dovetails nicely with our food drive dates and will mean much more for Kingdom House.
Our quarterly meditation service will be held at 4 p.m. on February 18th. Please come and experience worship in which periods of silence give us the space to be with God. Open-table Communion also makes this a good time to invite those unfamiliar with traditional church services. See you there, Linda Shantz
